Do you love yourself?

Honestly...do you really love yourself?

Do you look in the mirror and smile at yourself?

Do you cheer yourself on?

Take care of yourself? Your body? Your mind? Your joy?

Or...

Do you berate yourself? Put yourself down?

Do too many things that you know aren't good for you?

Feel less than compared to others?

Maybe less successful, less attractive, less whatever?

If you feel inadequate, scared, like a failure, or even out of control

What do you do?

My expert advice...

Stop comparing yourself to others.

Because everyone has their own life journey,

a journey with lessons, evolution, and experiences being a human.

You, me...all of us are learning every day.

But how does one soften the punches of rejection from others, loneliness, fear, or pain—

that might cause one to feel inferior or self-doubting in some way?

Love is the answer.

Love of yourself.

Love of your body.

Love of your mind.

Love of your spirit.

Love for your courage in the experiences you're having.

Love for your mistakes that are meant to bring you closer to your heart and soul.

Love for your curiosity in figuring out how to solve problems in your own time.

Love for the wisdom you are gaining from the aching, the hardship, the distress, the grief.

You see, with love you are more powerful than you realize.

Love is to a human like the sun is to a plant.

Love is to the heart as light is to dawn.

Love is to purpose as gravity is to earth.

Love is to truth as a mirror is to reflection.

Especially when love is unconditional—

when you are living with appreciation for who you are, how you're adapting, changing, and

 developing.

With love, you are stronger inside and out.

You gravitate toward people who support your well-being.

You forgive people for being hurtful or selfish—

realizing that they too are learning, and perhaps serving or served as part of your own

 evolution.

With love, you heal that which needs healing.

Here's a practice for you to feel the effects of love.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Think of anything that you deeply love.

Take a breath and feel this feeling in your heart.

Notice how calm you are.

And if you're smiling.

This is your true essence.

The essence of peace, calm, freedom, and presence.

Now, to deepen your understanding of love's power, close your eyes again.

Imagine a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Notice where that uncomfortable feeling lives in your body.

Now imagine once again the something that you deeply love.

Using your mind's eye, drape that something over the uncomfortable feeling.

Notice how love dissolves the discomfort.

As it brings calm and peace.

As you lighten up.

The truth is... love is the strongest power on this planet.

And so, with love—

 your greatest potential is expressed,

your dreams come true (if aligned for your greater good.)

your prayers are answered (if aligned for your greater good.)

As long as you hold love's energy in your heart,

you really are more radiant than you know

and making the world an even more beautiful place.

With love for yourself, others, and Mother Earth—

you naturally take good care of yourself,

you are instinctively kind to yourself and others,

you have more insight and vitality.

With love, life is better.

So much better.
